More sneak peeks

Here are some more hints of what's to come. A few detail snapshots of an album cover I am currently working on. At this point the pencil lines have been inked over and are awaiting the ink wash stage.

Sketch detail

I'm currently working on this drawing. For me, it's pretty large (18" x 24") considering how detailed it is. Here's a small section of work, still in the sketch stage. It's just a sneak of something that will be exhibited this summer. Stay tuned....

Everything But the Kitschen Sync TONIGHT!

Sadly, I won't be attending because MI is not exactly around the corner from CA, but if you live in L.A. you should make a go of it. Looks like an amazing show. I'm happy with the pieces I have in the show this year (and 2 out of 3 are in color too).

The reception starts at 8pm and goes until 11pm. The show runs until March 27th.

Color tests/studies

This is just a picture of some color studies I did for a piece I recently completed. I can't show you the final yet, but these are the colors I used for it. They're done in watercolor and just show me experimenting with the different combinations of green and yellow, as well as layering transparent colors.

I finished up a new piece today for a show coming up in April in Portland. I think I'm gonna keep it under wraps for now. I will be contributing 4 never-before-exhibited pieces to the show. Now I just have to figure out framing.....

Pabloientile Meets Jon MacNair

I recently got invited to be part of this project by Pablo ientile. According to his blog, his goal is to reach out and meet new illustrators through collaboration. Basically, he drew the character on the left and then sent the drawing to me via email, where I added my part. It's cool to see what other artists have done, given the same image to play off of. 20 newbies

If you've been checking out my blog this week, you probably noticed me uploading a lot of new works. I recently finished 20 new small works which I am hoping to sell to art lovers out there. I've already sold one and hope the rest will find good homes too. Here's a picture I snapped of the entire new collection. I think they look pretty good all together.

Sizes range from 3" x 3" to 6" x 8". Prices range from $30-$75, with the majority of works in the $40-$60 range.
