Feature on Rat Toothpaste

I recently had a write up about my work on an art blog called Rat Toothpaste. The blog is run by Portland artist Justin Aerni, who was kind enough to feature my work.

Below is some of Justin's work I enjoy:

Be sure to check out the dark, bold, visceral world he has created on his flickr page and website!

More sneak peeks

Here are some more hints of what's to come. A few detail snapshots of an album cover I am currently working on. At this point the pencil lines have been inked over and are awaiting the ink wash stage.

Sketch detail

I'm currently working on this drawing. For me, it's pretty large (18" x 24") considering how detailed it is. Here's a small section of work, still in the sketch stage. It's just a sneak of something that will be exhibited this summer. Stay tuned....

Everything But the Kitschen Sync TONIGHT!

Sadly, I won't be attending because MI is not exactly around the corner from CA, but if you live in L.A. you should make a go of it. Looks like an amazing show. I'm happy with the pieces I have in the show this year (and 2 out of 3 are in color too).

The reception starts at 8pm and goes until 11pm. The show runs until March 27th.

4633 Hollywood Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90027
phone: 323-666-7667

These are the pieces I have in the show.
I don't know why, but they are all symmetrical works involving cats.
