Put a Bird in It! October 2013

Last year I was not able to participate in the Portland birdhouse show "Put a Bird in It!". This year however I was able to put something together just in time to take part. The show is a fundraiser for the arts programs in Portland public schools. It is run by the We Make organization and artists donate their time, talents and birdhouses to the cause. I decided to make my birdhouse out of paper, as that is a medium I am very comfortable with. I was interested to see how my work would translate to a 3-D medium. Here are some pictures of the finished result!

The opening was super busy and a lot of funds were raised!
